Correlation hint for SAPEVENTQUEUE values in SAP-Web protocol scripts

Replaying SAP-Web protocol scripts for SAP Web Dynpro ABAP applications may be difficult due to the nature of the dynamically calculated SAPEVENTQUEUE values used by this application. While not all SAP Web Dynpro ABAP business processes present correlation difficulties in some cases the manual correlation of SAPEVENTQUEUE values can be challenging due to the way these values are calculated.

Solution

SAP has introduced a parameter (‘sap-wd-stableids=X’) in patch SAPKB70106 that can be added to the URL of a SAP Web Dynpro ABAP application to enable stable IDs for a SAP Web Dynpro ABAP application. When this parameter is used, the Web Dynpro framework will generate stable IDs for most application scenarios and this workaround will help to make script development easier.

However even if this parameter is used there are still some business processes where stable IDs will not be used. This workaround needs a minimum of patch SAPKB70106 to be installed and it is not guaranteed to work in every situation. The patch is available from the SAP support site.
