Error: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Error: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

While trying to record an application using java based protocol (Java or Java over HTTP) the following error message appears:

Java didn’t recognize the LoadRunner’s certificate (acting as server) as trusted.

Follow the below steps to fix this issue

  1. Open recording option dialog.
  2. Go to the Port mapping tab.
  3. Add new entry.
  4. Specify the proxy-server cert and add that same certificate to some custom trustStore and then feed that truststore to java via params (javax.net.ssl.trustStore.javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword).

Cross results option is grayed out in Analysis

Cross results option is grayed out in Analysis

After integrating LoadRunner and QC the cross results option is grayed out in Analysis tool

As QC handles the projects, the analysis will also depend on QC. The integration between LR and QC causes this option to be disabled. It is not an issue, it’s an expected behavior

To enable this option is necessary to disconnect Analysis from QC following these steps:

1. Open the analysis tool

2. Go to Tools > HP ALM Connection…

3. Then, click in Disconnect

4. After that, try the cross results.

How to verify how many people are logged into the SAP server

How to verify how many people are logged into the SAP server

The user is running a SAP scenario in the Controller and wants to verify if the Vusers are logging in properly. From the SAP native front, the user can get the information about how many SAP users are logged in. The user will see all initialized LoadRunner Vusers in the server.

This info is also helpful in determining the user limit on the SAP server.

Solution

Log into the SAP native front to find this information

From the main SAP System window select

Tools -> CCMS – This will get you to "Computing Center Management System" (CCMS).

Control/Monitoring -> Performance Menu – This will get you to "Performance Monitoring."

Exceptions/Users -> Active Users -> users, global – This will get you to "Current Active Users" that will list all users that are logged in.

How to upload a file to the server using web_custom_request

How to upload a file to the server using web_custom_request

Use the "BodyFilePath=fileName" attribute

You can use the "BodyFilePath=fileName" attribute to upload a file.

Example:

web_custom_request("Mercury",
"URL=http://…",
"Method=PUT",
"Resource=1",
"RecContentType=text/plain",
"Referer=",
"BodyFilePath=fileName",
LAST);

By default, LoadRunner will look into the script directory for the file. For such
1. When you run the script in the Controller, it is recommended that you:
a. Highlight the group and click the "Details" button.
b. Click <More> in the pop-up window.
c. Go to the "File used by script."
d. Make sure that your file is there or click <Add> to add the file.

2. Alternatively, you can specify the full path to the script. You will need to make sure that all the machines have the file in the same location.

Example:
"BodyFilePath=c:\\full_path\\fileName".
