How to change the transaction names once the results have been created

How to change the transaction names once the results have been created

Create an Analysis session and modify the necessary files and tables

1. Save the Analysis session (.lra), then close LoadRunner Analysis

  1. Go to the Analysis session directory using Window Explorer
  2. Delete the files:
    Result0_Graph#.cfg (#= number)
    Result0_Graph#.def (#= number)
  3. Edit the HTML source for AnalysisSession.html to show the new transaction name in the summary report
  4. Open AnalysisSession.mdb (you need to have Microsoft Access installed). Please make a backup copy of this mdb file before you edit it:
    1. Delete all the T#######T tables in AnalysisSession.mdb (#=numbers)
    2. To rename a transaction, open the event_map table, and edit the event_name column to reflect the desired transaction name
    3. If the analysis session contains cross results, and you would like to shorten the original result name that is appended to the end of a transaction, open the result table, and edit the result_name column to reflect the desired name
    4. Save the changes and exit
  5. Open the saved Analysis session again. Re-add the graphs.
