Error: “LoadRunner failed to establish a connection to an agent on the remote machine…” when replaying an RDP script

Error: "LoadRunner failed to establish a connection to an agent on the remote machine…" when replaying an RDP script

Problem

An RDP script is replayed in an environment where the "Agent for Microsoft Terminal Server" was installed on the server the script connects to. While executing a step similar to:

rdp_get_active_window_title ( "StepDescription=Get Window Position 1", "Snapshot=snapshot_11.inf",

"WindowTitle=TitleParam", "WindowOrdinal=OrdinalParam", RDP_LAST );

the following error occurs:

vuser_init.c(82): Error: LoadRunner failed to establish a connection to an agent on the remote machine. The execution of ‘rdp_get_active_window_title’ function requires the existence of such agent.

Cause

The connection to the "Agent for Microsoft Terminal Server" on the server was blocked by Microsoft Forefront Client Security.

For more information on this component see http://www.microsoft.com/forefront/clientsecurity/en/us/default.aspx.

Fix

Disable Microsoft Forefront Client Security while replaying RDP scripts that use the "Agent for Microsoft Terminal Server".
