MQ Series scripts content cannot be displayed in Performance Center (PC) 11

After logging into a project in PC 11, when trying to view the script content of a MQ Series script, the display panel (test script’s tab in the test plan view) is blank. The problem occurs for migrated scripts or scripts uploaded directly from ALM website. However if the script is uploaded using VuGen 11.x, the script can be displayed correctly in ALM.

In the Performance Center server log (<PC installation folder>\orchidtmp\LTLogger\HP.PC.LTOP.QCOTAOperationServiceWrapper\log.txt), the following errors can be seen:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: LRP File does not exsists: C:\Program Files\HP\Performance Center Server\dat\protocols\MQSeries-Client.lrp

at HP.PC.ScriptUploader.ScriptUploader.GetProtocolUIName(String protocol)

at HP.PC.ScriptUploader.ScriptUploader.GetScriptProtocolType(String usrFilePath)

Or:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: LRP File does not exsists: C:\Program Files\HP\Performance Center Server\dat\protocols\MQSeries-Server.lrp

at HP.PC.ScriptUploader.ScriptUploader.GetProtocolUIName(String protocol)

at HP.PC.ScriptUploader.ScriptUploader.GetScriptProtocolType(String usrFilePath)

Note: This issue has been seen with PC 11 Patch 4v2 but it could apply to other patches.

The two protocol files MQSeries-Client.lrp and MQSeries-Client.lrp are required to parse successfully the script content in ALM but are missing from the PC server installation.

Those two files can be found on a VuGen machine where the MQTester add-in has been installed.

On a VuGen machine where the MQTester add-in has been installed, make a copy the two files MQSeries-Client.lrp and MQSeries-Server.lrp located in <VuGen installation folder>\dat\protocols\,

Go to the Performance Center server machine and paste the two copied files above in <PC installation folder>\dat\protocols\.
