ALM-Performance Center (PC) 11.00 is installed on Windows server 2008 64 bit machines. After updating the PC Servers and Hosts to Patch 4v2 and the ALM Server to SP2 the PC System Health check shows no errors. The problem is the Results from a load test cannot be collated and the following error messages are displayed in the PC Event Log:
Result collation critical error. Reason: ‘OTA Operation UploadVuserLogs time exceeded the maximum allowed with no response 5400. PC run id = 1741’
Timeslot ID ‘1387’ was closed
Run 378 (timeslot 1387) changed state from Collating Results to Failed Collating Results.
Upload file failed. File Path on host: F:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Performance Center Host\orchidtmp\Results\PERFORMANCE_CENTER_Performance_Load_Testing_378\Run_378\VuserLog.zip, Error: OTA Operation UploadVuserLogs time exceeded the maximum allowed with no response 5400. PC run id = 1741
Upload file failed. File Path on host: F:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Performance Center Host\orchidtmp\Results\PERFORMANCE_CENTER_Performance_Load_Testing_378\Run_378\output.mdb.zip, Error: OTA Operation UploadResultsErrorDatabase time exceeded the maximum allowed with no response 5400. PC run id = 1741
The reason for this error is because the OTA client installation on the PC Hosts is invalid. Therefore the communication between the PC Host and the ALM Server cannot be established and the load test Results collation fails.
To fix this issue
First verify that Patch 4v2 is correctly installed on the PC Hosts:
Connect to each PC Host and check Windows Control Panel > Programs > View Installed Updates – ensure Installed Updates shows HP Performance Center Host 11.00 Patch 4v2 is installed.
If Patch 4v2 is correctly installed, try to force an update of the OTA client on the PC Host.
1. Login to a problematic Host as the PC user (default IUSR_METRO).
2. Open IE and connect to the ALM server. Note the ALM Server must already be updated to ALM 11.00 SP2.
3. Select the Add-Ins Page link > HP Quality Center Connectivity and download the HP QC Connectivity Add-In to the PC Host.
4. Check if the Results can now be collated for a problem Run – for example, Run 378 in this case.
VuGen version 11.03 using a protocol type AJAX Click & Script recorded with NTLM authentication. To change to Kerberos authentication the original script and Run Time Setting (RTS) > Preferences > Set Advanced options > Authentication were set to Use Windows native NTLM implementation No and Enable Integrated Authentication Yes.
On the VuGen machine, a variable KRB5_CONFIG=c:\windows\krb5.ini is defined in Windows. In c:\Windows\krb5.ini the required information about the domain and the KDC is defined.
The following error is displayed when the script is replayed in VuGen:
Action.c(22): Error -27734: Internal Error – Miscellaneous failure
KDC reply did not match expectations
The cause of this error is because of the invalid RTS setting for Kerberos authentication and Web Click and Script
To fix this issue Select WinInet replay instead of Sockets In VuGen Run Time Settings (f4) > Preferences > Advanced
Load mode replay for Ajax Tru Client protocol fails with error
“Activate browser window #2 ** failed – runtime error:
‘Ordinal’: The specified value (2) is invalid [MsgId: MERR-203254]“
The script replays fine in interactive mode.
This issue is specific to LR/PC 11.03 version (Works fine with LR/PC 11.02).
There is a problem with function “Activate tab” which doesn’t recognise any other tab than the first one.
To fix this issue follow the below steps
1. Open your script and click on “develop script”.
2. This will launch the Firefox browser.
3. Type at the Firefox browser
4. Find “disable_open_during_load” and set it to false.
5. Save the script again (Copy to controller again etc.).
If you are getting the following error:
‘Performance Center has encountered a fatal error‘ problem when trying to watch a test in MyPerformanceCenter. There are two ways to get reconnected: use a different ID, or build a new scenario. Once the user gets the error with a scenario, you can never connect to the running test again, though the MyPerformanceCenter main page is not affected, and neither is ALM.
To fix this issue , Go to the project database and execute the following query:
Delete from LAB_PERSONALIZATION where LP_USER_NAME='<username>
Perform the following steps for deleting a record from a table by going to the SQL Server database using SQL Server Management Studio –
– Choose the project database
– Choose the table LAB_PERSONALIZATION
-Right click on the table and choose “Edit top 200 rows” from the menu
-You can delete a table value or the entire row.
If you have any issues running the delete query suggested above, please try going to the SQL Server Management Studio directly to delete the row from the table.
Add the user now in Performance Center project in ALM.
