Diagnostics Probe is not starting

If the diagnostics probe is not starting after you have installed it, Check app server /log/system.out log.

Check if –Xbootclasspath/p: (if applicable) is overwritten, or another –Xbootclasspath is used.

– Use a –Xbootclasspath, no /p: and see if the JVM doesn’t start.

Re-run the JREInstrumenter and verify the output properties.

Check if you have instrumented the correct JVM and examine exact java process command line details.

If log files are not created for probe instance under /log

Check the userID [that started the JVM] has following access to probe directories.

•Read access to [R] probe directories

•Read & Execute [RX] to /bin

•Read & Write [RW] to /log
