Cannot Save ST 11 scripts in QC 10 or ALM 11 when project contains fields with required / verify value enabled

One workaround is to uncheck the ‘Required’ and ‘Verify Value’ from all fields of the test entity.

Here are the steps to do that:

1. Make sure Service Test is closed.

2. Open QC/ALM client and connect to the project.

3. Go to Tools > Customize > Project Entities and expand the Test node.

4. Go over all user fields and uncheck the ‘Required’ and ‘Verify Value’ options if they are checked.

5. Regarding system fields – they should have the ‘Required’ and the ‘Verify Value’ options set as in a new project.

6. Disconnect from QC, close QC client, start Service Test and try again.

If these steps don’t solve the problem, try to add "SERVICE-TEST" type to the types list of the project.

Here are the steps to do that:

1. Make sure Service Test is closed.

2. Open QC/ALM client and connect to the project.

3. Go to Tools > Customize > Project Lists.

4. Select the TestType list and make sure that the "SERVICE-TEST" type is there. If not, add it.
