“Analysis engine best practices crash” error

When trying to run Shunra Analytics, it returns an "Analysis engine best practices crash" error.

Error Message:

"Analysis engine metrics crash."

Solution:

Please try the following steps.

1. Right click Computer and select System Properties from the context menu.

2. Click Advanced system settings and go to the Advanced tab.

3. Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables find Path, click on it and select Edit.

4. Look for the bin path of the latest Java 32-bit version installed on the machine in the Variable values row.

5. If the path does not appear:

a. Delete Java bin path of previous versions if exist.

b. Add semicolon at the end of the Variable values row and add the current 32-bit version bin path (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin).

6. Close Shunra Analytics.

7. Open Services Window (services.msc).

8. Stop the Shunra WatchDog Service.

9. Go to the folder: C:\ProgramData\Shunra\Analytics.

10. Delete all of the files.

11. Start the Shunra WatchDog Service.

12. Try to run Analytics on the test run again.

Extract a public key from an encrypted pcap (.p12) file for Shunra Analytics

Please try either of the following steps:

Download OpenSSL from: http://www.openssl.org/

1. Execute the commands from within the OpenSSL bin folder and use the full path for the private key files:

· Open the command line

· cd c:\OpenSSL-Win32\bin

· openssl pkcs12 -in <.p12 file> -out c:\temp\temp.pem -nodes -nocerts

· openssl rsa -in c:\temp\temp.pem -out c:\temp\p1wap1w7.pem

2. Execute the commands from any folder after adding the OpenSSL bin folder to the System Variables:

· Control Panel > System (or right click Computer and select Properties) > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Environment Variables > Select Path under System Variables > Edit > append ";c:\OpenSSL-Win32\bin" at the end of the Variable Value line > Select OK in the open dialogs.

· Open the command line (close and reopen if was already open)

· cd c:\temp

· openssl pkcs12 -in <.p12 file> -out temp.pem -nodes -nocerts

· openssl rsa -in temp.pem -out p1wap1w7.pem
