How to search for “Affected CI” with Logical Name Solution

With the Logical Name Solution you cannot search anymore directly for the “Affected CI” from the Search page for incident, interactions or changes.

STRs for the example “interactions”:

1. Service Desk – Search Interactions
2. Advanced Filter
3. Add New Filter Criteria
4. Field in Interaction: Affected CI
Comparison: Starts With
Value: adv
5. Next
6. Search

No Interactions found. Although you expect some interactions to be displayed.

Solution

With Logical Name solution you need to use the “Multi Level Field Chooser” to get the expected search result.
